How the room started

Han Dohyun registered the company in 2014 after years of marking daily charts by hand while working near the port. The first class met in a rented room with folding chairs and a stack of KOSPI prints. Students were neighbors who wanted a name for the shape on a page, and a second opinion that was not a headline.

In 2018 Bae Nari joined from a research desk in Busan and took responsibility for the evenings that look at patterns after they fail. In 2019 the studio moved to 61 Seongwoon-ro, Nam-gu, where the round table still is. The method did not move with the furniture: print the chart, draw the lines, and say the name only when another seat agrees.

The word parallax, for us, is that agreement. Two people looking from different chairs still have to see the same neckline. If they cannot, the pattern is not ready to be named.

How we work with people

We teach adults who already glance at markets — yard planners, nurses on rotation, clerks, students, people who trade their own account. English is the language of the room. Disagreement is welcome when you can point. Nobody is asked to place an order, and nobody is scored on a profit.

Credentials here are years at a chart, not a wall of plaques. Han kept a paper book through a decade of brokerage work. Bae spent four years writing notes on daily structure before she moved to Ulsan. That is the experience we offer, and we do not dress it up as anything else.

What we hold onto

Patience with a drawing. A wick is part of the chart, not a nuisance. A failed pattern is still a pattern you should be able to describe. The city outside — shipyards, bus changes, late dinners in Nam-gu — is why the serious work happens in the evening, when people can actually sit.
